Senior High Youth Ministry at Trinity
is a Three-Fold-Plan
1. For Those Who Like Singing!
Sounds like Love – 28 year history of awesome music!

It’s a Weekend Singing Event sponsored by Youth Encounter that invites youth from a seven state region to bring seven learned pieces of music to perform in an inspirational and music filled weekend . The event is held at St. Andrews Lutheran Church in Mahtomedi, MN on Friday, Nov. 12 – Sunday, Nov. 14. It is typically about $100 for the weekend. Rehearsals begin on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011 at 4:00pm. Supper is always served by the church sponsoring the rehearsals; we’ll be done by 6:00pm. The church van will transport kids at 3:30pm unless the rehearsal is at Trinity.
** This is an invitation to high school youth who enjoys singing. Youth from anywhere in the area are invited. Last year 11 youth from Tea were involved (20 all together from the Sioux Falls area).
This group quite possibly will evolve into a Youth Praise Choir/Band and invite in guest musicians for jam sessions to write and perform music.

2. For Those Who Want to grow in relationship with friends and God!

Peer Ministry – Peer Ministry is a proven and deep relationship building ministry that is designed to help kids grow in every way. The process will change a student, change a church, change a community, and will effect the world. It’s all about learning the power of relationships, communication, and faith.
The first session is on September 18th at 6:30pm in the Loft.
I can take 12-15 students (with a beginning preference of 10-12th grades) to start.

3. For those who want to join in a year-long plan to experience a trip of a life-time !
New Orleans – Citizens with the Saints
Proposed itinerary:

July 16 - Board an early morning bus and drive 10 hours to St. Louis
July 17 – Spend a day at 6 flags Great America. (group rate is $26 per person) Drive 5 to 6 more hours to hotel that night.
July 18 – Drive the last 4 to 5 hours to New Orleans (register, check into hotel, then participate in the event that starts in the late afternoon).
July 19-July 22 – Take in the event.
Sunday, July 22 – leave at noon and drive straight through to Sioux Falls.
Estimated Cost: $900 ($315 for event, $300 for hotel, $250 for transportation) per student.
Team Building Plan – Third Sunday of every month at 7:30pm. Next Mtg. is Sept. 18th.
Adult advisors- Selection of one adult for every 5+ youth will occur on Sept. 18th.
