Milestone Monday: parents and 3rd graders dig into their new Spark Bibles.

New this Fall, the Youth and Family Board is unveiling a Milestone Monday Program schedule for most of the Milestone Teaching Events happening at Trinity in 2011-2012. We are asking that parents commit to two seperate hour-long Monday evenings for each child. Each event starts at 6:30pm on Monday at Trinity.

This is a quote from the card given to each parent who baptizes their child at Trinity. 

"This wonderful sacrament of the Church marks the birth of a faith covenant with (your child) and God, and your part in it determines the health and shape of (your child’s) growth in faith. Your faith and example will help him understand what ‘covenant with God’, the keeper of his life, means. It’s a huge responsibility that reaches far beyond (your child’s) earthly years, and we at Trinity pledge to help you in the steps along the way."

A Milestone for Every child

Faith Milestones have become the way that the Youth and Family Board along with the Board of Education (Sunday School Teachers) are fulfilling this pledge to parents. Faith Milestone are the "steps along the way" guiding a child on a lifelong faith journey. Every child ages 0 to 18 will experience a Faith Milestone event. A reminder mailing will be sent to each child the week before his/her event.
