The board of education is looking forward to another blessed year of faith work! One of the new things about this year is that we will have a core of perhaps eight 7th and 8th grade confirmation students who come already introduced to each of the Spark bible lessons. They will add a “spark” to the morning!

1.   First of all, Thank you to all of the adults who have already stepped forward and committed to the teaching of our children this fall! Your prayerful service to the congregation through the teaching of bible stories to our youngest believers is a great gift!

2. Second, We will begin Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. sharp! On September 15^h, Rally Sunday, we will complete registration of our children and help them find their rooms, meet their teachers, get ready to become a flock of sheep as a fun part of the parade/opening that will carry into the 10:30 a.m. service.

3. Third, we want our children to be a part of worship. Whether they attend the opening 15 minutes of the 9:15 a.m. service and then are led to Sunday School, or whether they worship with their parent(s) at the 10:30 a.m. service after Sunday School is over, children must see in their parents a willingness to participate in worshipping God, too.

4. Lastly, with our still new to us Spark! Curriculum and bibles, the take home full color sheets and sometimes symbols and crafts that the child brings home from Sunday School will be a starting point for kitchen table and bedtime visits between parents and child.
