I have never been more thankful for God's goodness than I am now!  At the writing of this post, I have awakened the past ten mornings to an amazing new reality:  my wife Nancy and I are for the first time Grandma and Grandpa Johnson!

Anika is our new grand daughter born to our oldest, Kirstin and her husband Aaron.

I hear myself say it out loud, "Grandpa Johnson"...Talk about something that is going to take some getting

used to!

We have been saying to one another in worship these past weeks that we are to

give God thanks for all good things. We have been right to head out into our days

 reminding one another, "God is good, All the time,...All the time, God is good!"

As I think of a new generation born to our family tree I ask,

 isn't it true that the epitome of "good" is discovered in the people that God puts

 in our lives?

A real Thanksgiving is holding close the dear people that we have been given.
